In webmaster world (and by this, I mean like graphic, tutorial, or neopets sites), we have our own little kind of slang. Just for fun, I decided to make a littler guide about it. Some are practical, and I'm sure you know it already, and some aren't used by everyone, but let's see what goes on:
Update
The most common one, an update is an adding of content, whether it's a graphic, tutorial, guide, or even a blog.
HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, ECT
Another very common one, but for someone who's new to all this, it's a type of language they use to code stuff, like layouts.
Adsense
This is a program by google that allows money to be given to the owner of the site everytime someone clicks on an ad. This is what many site owners use to fund their domain. (see below)
Domain
Domain is like having a .com, .net, or .org, and sometimes expand beyond that. The basic meaning of it usually is not paid for.
Side Domain
A side domain is when you are being hosted by another site. For example. If someone's site is, say, mysiterox.com, and then they could host a side domain for someone else, and it would say thenameofmysite.mysiterox.com, so technically, it's just a branch to another site. Neo-sorority is a side domain of webs.com, or actually, freewebs.com/
SOTM
SOTM stands for site of the month. It's usually indicating that they are in a competition to see which out of a selection of sites is the best.
BOTS
Less common in the big wig sites, like Jellyneo and Sunnyneo, but around some sites that have been around for about less then a year, it stands for Battle Of The Sites, which is an uber cool competition hosted by Emporer's Village and Tempting Illusions, that sees which site makes the most content.
Blogging
Something that is very common through the www, blogging is like making a post about what's happening in your life. Not to be confused with a blog, which for graphic sites, is a graphic in which you can type inside a photo =P
Turning Into Yelo
=P I'm sure you don't see this on any of the big sites, but I've seen it a few times. Have you seen Erased Neo? Yelo is the owner, and when someone says that they or someone else is "turning into yelo", it simply means they happen to add tons and tons of backgrounds =P It usually happens to people who... know her. No offence Yelo. XD
