You want to start a site? Well, It's not easy... but if you're sure, let's begin. It's best to start a site with a close friend, but if you can't, try to find one trustworthy staff member before opening, so you won't be too busy. I know we all have lives. (Well, some of us do) Then begin the process of "site making"
Naming your site... doesn't sound so hard does it? Well, maybe it is. First of ally, you don't want anything too long, like Neopia-Is-Really-Really-Cool.com, but you don't want anything like JJ.com either. Many sites have the word neo, or graphics in it, but that's just optional. Try not to be too specific in your name, or else people expect everything to be like it. Like, if you name it Peophin Love, all your layouts have to have peophins in it, or so expected. Try to make it catchy, but don't let the words blend in, like, gamegamagame. Anything else about names? -.- I don't think so. Let's move on.
Host, or in another case, where you "park" your site, as in, all your pages and content are listed there. The most common three are Freewebs, Awardspace, and Bravenet. Freewebs is pretty good for beginners, or, for some people, who just want to stay simple, like me. There appears to be a little blue bar at the bottom, but you can change the ad, or if you get a .co.nr redirectory, (see below) it *magically dissapears*. There's almost no downtime too. Awardspace is better because you get FTP options, and PHP permissions, and of course, no ads. But there's ALOT of downtime. I mean, ALOT. And Bravenet has almost no downtime, PHP options, but their ads are BIG AND FLASHY =(. So, depending on what you want, you can choose either three. There are more, like if you get hosted by another site, or use geocities (i disapprove of such =( ), but those are the best, in my opinion atleast.

Here, Sunny-nights ends in a .co.nr, a way in which makes the adress much shorter, if you can't afford a domain (.com, .org, .net, etc.). You sign up for it here. You have to answer a few questions, but it pays off. But note this, it's NOT a park site. You still need to park your site somewhere, but this redirects whoever goes to the .co.nr adress directly to your longer adress.
To save myself from writing this section, I would suggest you later direct your attention to the finding staff tutorial, written by the fabulous Jenny =)
Are you ready for the grand opening yet? Be patient, the more you have before you open, the more popular your site is. Use this checklist to see if you have the basic necessities =)
-Applications (for staff and affiliates)
-Terms And Conditions
-Link Back Buttons
-Layout (Premade or Custom, it doesn't matter)
-Atleast 5 pages of content
-Cutenews (Optional)
-C-Box (Optional)
This is where we end. Good luck with your site =) ::Jade::
